Our Recovery Programs
The Women's Resilience Centre offers free, trauma-informed programs accessible to women nationwide through our secure online platform, with select programs also available in-person. Our evidence-based programs address the core needs women require to recover and rebuild their lives after domestic abuse and trauma and create lasting, measurable impact.
Each program is delivered by qualified facilitators in a safe, confidential environment where women can connect with others who understand their journey while developing practical skills for independence. Whether you're focusing on financial stability, employment readiness, emotional wellbeing, or building authentic relationships, our comprehensive approach supports every aspect of rebuilding a thriving life free from abuse.

Managing Emotions, Finding Balance

Rebuild your emotional foundation with our NEW FREE Managing Emotions, Finding Balance program.
This 5-week online program is designed for women who want to develop greater emotional resilience and break the cycle of chronic stress after experiencing domestic abuse, trauma, or loss.
Are you struggling with emotional overwhelm, anxiety, or feeling constantly stressed?
The link between unregulated emotions and chronic stress is well researched. Women who have experienced domestic abuse, trauma, or loss are at greater risk of emotional overwhelm and the negative effects of stress.
In this safe, trauma-informed space, you'll explore:
Understanding the connection between emotions and stress in your body
Cognitive awareness skills to recognise emotional triggers
Practical mindfulness techniques for daily life
Guided relaxation and breathwork practices
Somatic tools to regulate your nervous system
Building emotional intelligence and improved coping skills
Our evidence-based program draws on proven approaches including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Mindfulness training, offering both cognitive understanding and practical body-based techniques for lasting change.

A: When you register, you'll complete an enrollment form and waiver. Our program registrar and facilitator will provide you with all necessary information including secure login details for our online platform.
Our programs feature:

A: Our programs are designed for women who are in the recovery phase from domestic abuse, trauma, or loss. To ensure safety and effectiveness for all participants, we currently cannot accommodate:
Women in acute crisis situations who need immediate safety support
Women experiencing acute mental health emergencies
Women with acute substance abuse issues requiring specialist intervention
If you're in any of these situations, we can provide appropriate referrals to crisis services. Once you're stabilised, we welcome you to join our recovery programs.

A: All our core recovery programs are completely free of charge - there are no hidden fees or costs. Donations are gratefully accepted but never required.

A: No, we are not a crisis service or shelter. Women's Resilience Centre specializes in long-term recovery support through:

For immediate crisis support or emergency accommodation, we can provide referrals to appropriate services. Our focus is on sustainable recovery once you're safe and ready to rebuild.
