Employment Pathways

Employment Pathways is one of the key recovery pathways offered through the Women's Resilience Centre.

Designed specifically for women recovering from domestic abuse and trauma, these programs support women to build confidence, develop practical skills and take positive steps towards employment, education and future opportunities.

For many women, recovery includes rebuilding financial independence, exploring new possibilities and regaining confidence in their strengths, capabilities and potential. Returning to work, entering the workforce for the first time, changing careers or pursuing further education can be an important part of creating a secure and positive future.

Through supportive group programs, women have opportunities to develop practical job-seeking skills, strengthen confidence, identify their strengths and prepare for future opportunities. Programs within this pathway include Empowering Employment, designed to support women at different stages of their employment journey.

Women participate in Employment Pathways programs for many different reasons. They may be looking to:

✓ Build confidence and self-belief

✓ Explore employment opportunities

✓ Return to work after time away

✓ Develop practical job-seeking skills

✓ Strengthen resumes and applications

✓ Improve interview confidence

✓ Explore education and training pathways

✓ Increase financial independence

✓ Work towards personal and professional goals

Whatever your starting point, our programs are designed to meet you where you are and support you to move forward at your own pace.

Empowering Employment

Through this program, I was able to secure my first job in Australia. As someone from another country, I found it extremely difficult to gain employment despite a law degree and professional experience. The support I received enabled me to receive essential training in job searching, along with guidance through the interview process.
