Financial Wellbeing

Financial Wellbeing is one of the key recovery pathways offered through the Women's Resilience Centre.

Designed specifically for women recovering from domestic abuse and trauma, these programs support women to build financial confidence, strengthen money management skills and develop practical knowledge that supports long-term independence and recovery.

For many women, recovery includes rebuilding financial stability, increasing confidence with money and developing the knowledge and skills needed to make informed financial decisions. Financial wellbeing can play an important role in creating greater independence, reducing financial stress and building confidence for the future.

Through supportive group programs, women have opportunities to strengthen their understanding of budgeting, financial planning and money management while developing practical skills that can be applied in everyday life. Programs within this pathway include Managing Money, designed to help women build financial confidence and work towards greater financial wellbeing.

Women participate in Financial Wellbeing programs for many different reasons. They may be looking to:

✓ Build confidence managing money

✓ Strengthen budgeting and financial planning skills

✓ Better understand financial decision-making

✓ Reduce financial stress

✓ Work towards greater financial independence

✓ Increase knowledge of personal finances

✓ Develop practical skills for everyday money management

✓ Create financial goals for the future

✓ Build confidence in their ability to manage financial responsibilities

Whatever your starting point, our programs are designed to meet you where you are and support you to move forward with greater confidence and financial security.
